[You should come to Santiago]

I don’t really know about what places should a foreign tourist visit in Santiago, because I don’t know the city very much, but about the places that I do know, I think they should go to visit the Santiago Cathedral because it’s a historical place, it’s the main church in our city. Also, they should visit La Moneda, because it’s the house of government, it’s where our president takes the decisions that involve all of us. A great place to visit is the Santa Lucía Hill or the San Cristóbal Hill. As for places to eat, they should definitely go to the Mercado Central, there they will find some of the best sea dishes in town.

This is my top 5 activities/places a foreign tourist should do:

1· Visit the centre of Santiago, there you can go to La Moneda, or visit Plaza de Armas, go to Santa Lucía Hill, the Mercado Central and lots of historical places. The centre of Santiago is an strategic area to go to this places because you can walk to get there in short time.
2· Visit Bellavista. It’s a nice neighbourhood, very lively, with lots of pubs where you can go to have a drink, eat something, and have a nice time with your friends.
3· Visit the National History Museum. There you can find information about our ancestors and also learn about pre-Columbian culture.
4· Visit the Metropolitan Park of Santiago. Is a beautiful place composed by San Cristóbal, Pirámide, Chacarillas y Bosque de Santiago Hills, with a forest of 400 hectare and at the top of San Cristóbal Hill there’s a statue of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception that has 49,21 feet, so is very impressive.
5· Visit La Chascona. It’s in Bellavista, and it was the house of one of our greatest poets of all time: Pablo Neruda.

That’s it. Hope you like the places that I mentioned.
See you at another publication. Xoxo.
